Drill turns at Gold Bar

Vancouver — American Bonanza Gold Mining (BZA-V) has the rig turning on the Gold Bar property in the prolific Battle Mountain-Eureka mineral trend in central Nevada.

The program is aimed at testing for bonanza grade, Carlin type deposits at depth where feeder structures intersect the favourable Roberts Mountains formation.

The property produced 485,000 oz of gold from 7.5 million tons grading 0.074 oz gold per ton during the 1987 to 1994 period. Recoveries rang in at 87%.

American Nevada Gold (AGN-V) can earn a 50% stake in the property in return for $115,000 and issuing 800,000 shares over three years. American Bonanza is the operator for the project.
