Drilling a bust at Mackay Lake

Drilling by ATW Resources on the Mackay Lake property in the Northwest Territories has failed to find the source of a prominent indicator mineral dispersion train which has been traced over 25 km.

No kimberlite was found while testing three distinct low-resistivity anomalies in a small area of Mackay Lake, south of Lac de Gras. Previous till sampling and sonic drilling had narrowed the search down to a 23-sq.-km portion of the lake.

The property is a joint venture held 75% by ATW Resources, 15% by Aber Diamond (ABZ-T) and 10% by SouthernEra Resources (SUF-T). ATW Resources itself is owned 40% by Almaden Minerals (AMM-T), 20% by Troymin Resources (TYR-V) and 40% by Williams Creek Explorations (WCX-V).
