Drilling confirms Armada results

Drill results from Armada Gold’s (ASE) Baley Tailings gold project in the Chita region of eastern Siberia have confirmed earlier estimates.

Tweny-nine holes were drilled to test the two tailings dams known as ZIF-1 and ZIF-2. The former is estimated to contain 17 million tonnes; the latter, 25 million tonnes.

The 23 holes at ZIF-1 returned assays that had a weighted average grade of 1.08 grams per tonne while six holes at ZIF-2 returned 0.74 grams. Core samples were taken at 1-metre intervals and fire-assayed. One out of every 10 samples was then checked by another lab in the United Kingdom.
