Alberta-listed Fairmile Acquisitions has identified several new zones of gold mineralization at the Buffalo Valley mine in northern Nevada.
Drilling on the north-south-striking, 2,400-ft.-long Front fault zone indicates a potential reserve of 4.8 million tons averaging 0.07 oz. gold per ton for a geological resource of 336,000 oz.
The zone is open to the west and coincident with a geophysical anomaly that extends over 2,500 ft.
The Dore Hills zone, 3,600 ft. north of the Front fault, has numerous intercepts in excess of 0.1 oz. Geochemical sampling indicates the zone is open to the east.
Fairmile estimates the mine — including the new discovery in the Front fault zone and gold remaining on heap-leach pads — contains almost 600,000 oz.
