Drilling program set for Beaufor

A 3-month, $900,000 exploration program is to begin at the Beaufor gold property near Val d’Or, Que., partners Aurizon Mines (ME) and Louvem Mines (ME) report.

The program, designed to increase reserves, will consist of 6,000 ft. of diamond drilling, and 1,490 ft. of underground drifting and raising on the 1,500- and 1,750-ft. levels.

Development ore, totaling 3,500 tons, will be processed at the nearby Manitou mill owned by St. Genevieve Resources (TSE) and is expected to yield about 760 oz. gold.

Reserves are 309,400 tons grading 0.22 oz. gold per ton.
