Drilling resumes at Mishi Lake gold project

The 22,500-acre gold property is located in the Mishibishu Lake area west of Wawa, Ont.

MacMillan says that two drill rigs are being utilized in the current program, for which a 6-month budget of $4 million has been allocated. Last year, a total of 58,000 ft was drilled on the property bringing the cumulative total to 161,000 ft.

Highlights from the most recent series of holes on the Mishi joint venture are as follows: Hole Width (ft) (oz/t) Grade M-359 7 0.17 M-360 8 0.18 M-37 7 0.24 M-379 11 0.18 M-380 16 0.16 M-383 21 0.47(cut)

Exploration to date has confirmed both underground and open pit reserves which together are estimated to total some two million tons at a grade of about 0.14 oz gold per ton. The joint venture partners hope to double their current reserve figure to the 3-4 million ton range, says MacMillan President Anthony Agostino.
