Duration, Aurogin active at Batchewana

Located near Longlac, Ont., the Theresa was a former gold producer. Duration is seeking a joint venture partner to fund exploration.

The company has also received a consultant’s report which examined sampling procedures and the distribution of gold mineralization at the property. The report concludes that the gold distribution is such that careful sampling procedures are required.

Also, the report noted that sample preparation used at the property yielded results that tended to under estimate grade in places “and probably to a lesser extent, also underestimated the gold content of broken muck.”

In the Batchawana area near Sault Ste. Marie, Ont., Duration and partner Aurogin Resources (VSE) are beginning exploration on their large 520-claim property. The ground was staked to cover geology displaying good potential for gold and polymetallic deposits.

Analysis of satellite imagery has identified a large 12-km diameter caldera structure. Prospecting has yielded numerous copper, gold and molybdenum showings, Duration says.
