Vancouver – Eastfield Resources (ETF-V) has tabled encouraging results from two more holes drilled on the Lorraine copper-gold property near Prince George, British Columbia.
The latest program was aimed at expanding the existing resource last pegged at 32 million tonnes containing 0.66% copper, plus 0.17 gram gold and 4.7 grams silver per tonne.
Recent drilling focused on the southwest side of the mineralizing system. Hole 62 was collared 87 metres southwest of hole 48 (53 metres grading 0.84% copper and 0.36 grams gold), and hit 51 metres averaging 0.89% copper and 0.61 grams gold per tonne from 9.1 metres downhole.
Hole 61 was drilled from the same site as hole 60 (113.2 metres grading 0.76% copper and 0.49 grams gold), but more steeply angled. This hole hit several lower grade sections, including 51.2 metres grading 0.32% copper and 0.19 grams gold. Eastfield believes that the hole was terminated before hitting the favourable high-grade zone.
Drilling is expected to resume on the property later in the year.
The junior can earn up to a 75% interest from Lysander Minerals (LYM-V) by spending $4 million on exploration, paying $550,000 in cash or shares, and completing a feasibility study.
