A flow-through financing completed by Eastmain Resources (CDN) has netted the company $315,000. The funds will be used for diamond drilling at the Kidd and Akweskwa projects in the Timmins, Ont., area.
Bedrock conductors have been found on the Kidd project, a joint venture with Falconbridge (TSE), in Wark Township. The conductors are coincident with an anomalous magnetic low adjacent to a large magnetic high, an association similar to Falconbridge’s Kidd Creek base metal deposit just to the west. Eastmain’s first priority is to test these conductors.
At the Akweskwa gold project, about 40 km southwest
of Timmins, the company plans to drill induced-polarization anomalies that coincide with zones of disseminated sulphide mineralization. The property covers two former gold producers, the Jonsmith and Dunvegan mines.
