Eden Roc uncovers new zone at Afema

Drilling by Eden Roc Minerals (EDN-T) has intersected a new zone of mineralization at the Afema gold mining project in Ivory Coast.

Starting at a vertical depth of 430 metres, hole 63 intersected 9.6 metres of sulphide-bearing mineralization averaging 8.24 grams gold per tonne, including 7 metres of 9.93 grams. A second interval, intersected at a depth of 445 metres, returned 3.45 metres of 3.45 grams.

Mineralization runs parallel with, and 10 metres west of, the Junction zone, where upper oxide ore is currently being mined. The zone’s lower-lying sulphide mineralization is the focus of an ongoing drill program.

Among the latest three holes to penetrate deeper sulphide mineralization, the best results include:

o hole 57, which returned 14.4 metres (starting at a vertical depth of 280 metres) grading 7.47 grams gold, including 4.1 metres of 13.58 grams; o hole 54, which intersected 2 metres (starting at a vertical depth of 130 metres) grading 2.4 grams; and

o hole 62, which hit 2 metres (starting at a vertical depth f 210 metres) averaging 4.81 grams, including 0.8 metre of 9.92 grams.

The Junction zone extends over a strike length of 200 metres and to a depth of 430 metres below surface. Mineralization remains open in all directions.

As operator, Eden Roc holds a 68% interest in the project. The Ivorian government holds the remainder.
