Electra recovers gold at Rambler

Electra Mining (ELC-V) has begun production at its Rambler tailings project near Baie Verte, Nfld.

Electra is processing tailings, containing 1.7 million tons grading 0.04 oz. gold per ton, at a newly constructed, indoor vat leach mill. Recovery rates are greater than 80% and are expected to reach the 85% target level soon.

Meanwhile, work continues at the nearby Pine Cove property, where Electra is earning a 35% interest from New Island Minerals (NLM-A) and a subsidiary of NovaGold Resources (NRI-T). Electra plans to process 33,000 tons of Pine Cove ore at the Rambler mill in order to confirm milling costs and recoveries.
