Equity resumes work at Louis Lake

Drilling is expected to resume shortly at the Louis Lake copper-gold porphyry project, 35 km northwest of Smithers, B.C.

Equity Silver Mines (TSE) is earning a 70% interest in the project from owner New Canamin Resources (VSE) by funding the project to a production decision.

Drilling by Equity earlier this year outlined a preliminary reserve of 43 million tonnes grading 0.30% copper and 0.31 grams gold per tonne. The drilling indicates the mineralized zone may thicken and increase in grade to the west.

Equity plans to drill three holes about 200 metres west of holes 7 and 8. Hole 7, which bottomed in mineralization, intersected 60.9 metres grading 0.36% copper and 0.34 grams gold with the last three metres grading 0.44% copper and 0.38 grams gold.
