EXPLORATION ’92 — Hemlo Gold boosts production

Gold production increased to 378,000 oz., up 6% over the first nine months of 1991 because of higher output from the Golden Giant and Silidor mines, Hemlo Gold Mines (TSE).

The company’s share of gold production was 347,000 oz. at a cash cost of US$115 per oz. at the Golden Giant mine and 31,000 oz. at a cash cost of US$263 per oz. at the 55% owned Silidor mine.

A dividend of 10 cents per share has been declared payable Dec. 15 to shareholders on record Nov. 19.
