EXPLORATION ROUNDUP — Golden Phoenix stakes claims in Alaska

Golden Phoenix Minerals (GPXM-O) has picked up two more volcanogenic massive sulphide prospects in the Bonnifield district, south of Fairbanks, Alaska.

The company staked claims covering 3.5 sq. miles around the Cirque prospect and another 6 sq. miles near the Grubstake prospect, 6 miles to the northwest. Previous work at Cirque revealed several zones of high-grade zinc, silver, gold and copper values.

The company also picked up, through a lease agreement, the Banner Creek and Mack Rife properties, and bought 4 sq. miles of land in the Richardson district, southeast of Fairbanks.

In addition, Golden Phoenix staked acreage northwest of the Stone Boy gold prospect, held jointly by Teck (tek-t) and Japan-based Sumitomo Metal Mining.

The new acquisitions bring Golden Phoenix’s land package in the Bonnifield district to 25,000 acres.

Meanwhile, in Nevada, the company has confirmed high-grade gold values at its High Grade project.
