EXPLORATION ROUNDUP — Hixon, Golden Rule investigate Stenpad

Trenching on the Stenpad concession in the Asankrangwa district of western Ghana continues to uncover encouraging gold grades.

Hixon Gold Resources (HXG-V) is exploring the 6,938-ha concession, with joint-venture partner Golden Rule Resources (GNU-T) retaining the right to earn a 50% interest at the feasibility stage.

The recent program involved two trenches, situated 1,950 metres southwest of the previously dug Agykra trenches and spaced 200 metres apart.

Trench 1 returned 19.29 metres grading 54.4 grams gold per tonne, while trench 2 returned 14.3 metres grading 7.3 grams gold. (The two Agykra trenches returned 12.35 metres grading 24.5 grams gold and 13.6 metres grading 16 grams gold.)

Hixon is extending the four trenches and will carry out additional trenching at both sites.
