GLOBAL SEARCH FOR DIAMONDS — BHP tests Caledonia’s NWT project

Emerging diamond producer BHP Minerals is awaiting results from a till and esker sampling program carried out on ground held by Caledonia Mining (CAL-T), some 30 km from the Lac de Gras region of Canada’s Northwest Territories.

Caledonia also is awaiting results of a sampling program funded by BHP at its Mulonga Plains property in western Zambia, adjacent to the diamond-producing regions of Angola.

The reconaissance sampling program was launched to determine the extent to which the Angolan craton underlies the property. BHP has until early October to notify Caledonia if it wishes to enter into a joint venture on the property.
