Reverse circulation drilling at the Midway project in southern British Columbia has encountered copper and gold mineralization.
Three holes drilled to test a 100-ft.-wide shear zone on the Ket 28 property returned significant gold values, reports Gold City Resources (ASE). Some of the better intersections include: 0.06 oz. gold per ton over 75 ft. in Hole Ket 28-1(93); 0.07 oz. gold across 10 ft. in Hole Ket 28-2(93); and 20 ft. grading 0.06 oz. gold in Hole Ket 28-3(93).
At the Le Roi-War Eagle property, about six miles north of Ket 28, a vertical hole in flat-lying rocks averaged 1.16% copper over 55 ft. Anomalous gold and zinc values were also encountered.
Midway has geology similar to the Crown Jewel mine, a few miles south in Washington state, which is being developed by Battle Mountain Gold (NYSE) and Crown Resources (TSE).
Gold City says financing has been arranged to follow up core drilling on these properties.
