Alberta-listed Goldbrook Explorations plans to explore some newly optioned claims in northwestern Ontario.
The South Onaman property comprises 51 claims on the southern boundary of Goldbrook’s 148-claim Onaman property, which is currently under option to TNK Resources (CDN). The Onaman includes the former Headway and Coulee Lead deposits, which were extensively drilled and evaluated in the 1950s.
Two mineralized zones on the South Onaman property have been stripped, trenched and grab-sampled. The No. 2 zone, 120 metres long and 1 to 3 metres wide, had average concentrations of 6.36% zinc and 6.55% lead, plus 0.023 oz. gold and 15.38 oz. silver per ton. The smaller, No. 5 zone, 40 metres long and up to 2 metres wide, had average concentrations of 5.02% zinc and 12.88% lead, together with 0.056 oz. gold and 19.77 oz. silver.
