Gowest drill holes cut two gold zones

A 3,000-ft drill program completed by Gowest Amalgamated Resources has intersected two zones of gold mineralization. The drilling in Denton Twp., Ont., intersected in the first hole an 11.7-ft section grading 0.135 oz gold per ton and 10.1 ft grading 0.17 oz.

Both sections came from above 688 ft, the company says. Gowest notes that the intersections are deemed significant in that they are 200 ft below previously drilled holes. The holes also suggest that the zone has been offset by a fault. An additional 5,000-10,000 ft of drilling is required for the next phase of work. The work will begin, pending the availability of financing.
