The inability of RJK Mineral (ASE) to meet an option payment due Dec. 31, 1991, means associated company Greater Lenora Resources (TSE) will retain a 100% interest in the Goldfields gold project in northern Saskatchewan, Lenora says.
RJK had an option to earn a 60% interest in the project consisting of two potential open pit mines.
Meanwhile, Lenora reports additional surface discoveries on its wholly owned base metal property in the Yukon. The best discoveries are 600 metres south of the original showing, President Robert Kasner said. Trenching work, he said, returned 2.66% zinc with credits of copper, lead and silver over an 8.1-metre width.
Four separate mineral occurrences have been discovered on the 138-claim property, Kasner said.
