Partners Haddington Resources (VSE) and Portman Explorations (VSE) will drill nine targets on a ground position west of New Liskard, Ont.
The targets were delineated by spectral induced-polarization (IP), magnetic, soil geochemical and geological surveys, and are hosted within (or close to) a southeast-trending deformation zone coincident with an IP anomaly.
This zone straddles three properties in Tyrrell Twp.: Hydro Creek, Hare Lake and Goldeye. Four of the targets are within the Hydro Creek claims, two are on the Hare Lake portion and the remaining are within the Goldeye. The first target to be drilled, which is adjacent to the deformation zone, returned an assay from an outcrop of 2.59 grams gold per tonne across 4 metres.
Haddington holds an option to earn a 100% interest in the properties and has granted Portman an option to earn a half interest.
Haddington, a junior controlled by Vancouver financier Murray Pezim and headed by former Noranda executive Walter Nash, is focusing its exploration efforts in Ontario.
