Heap-leach test is planned for Cumaral property

CDN-listed Aronos Multinational plans to perform a heap-leach test on placer material from its Cumaral gold-silver project in northern Mexico.

Situated 85 km from Hermosillo, the deposit contains fine gold, which is difficult to retrieve using mechanical means. Independent consultants say gold recoveries can be substantially increased by employing heap-leach technology. The company envisages using a combination of mechanical separation and heap-leach methods.

In other news, Aronos has appointed a collection agent to help retrieve a US$13.6-million note, currently in arrears. The company has issued a summons and complaint demanding immediate payment of the note and is also proceeding with action to freeze the U.S. bank account of the debtor, who was not named.
