Exploration programs are under way on four properties controlled by Hemisphere Development. In the Courageous Lake area, N.W.T., the company is drilling sections of a 14-km-long property which adjoins the Tundra project operated by Noranda Exploration and Getty Resources.
Significant anomalous gold values have been encountered in drill holes. Core from 14 holes is out for assay. Bow Valley Industries is a joint venture partner on the project.
Near Contwoyto Lake, N.W.T., the company has a 10,430-ac property adjoining the Lupin gold mine operated by Echo Bay Mines. Bow Valley has the right to earn a 51% interest in the Contwoyto claims. Exploration programs are also planned for the company’s properties at Russell Lake and Sunset Lake, also in the N.W.T.
