High grade gold on Roxy zone

Drilling is continuing on the Roxy zone where several drill holes have intersected high grade gold values across wide widths, Golden Rule Resources (TSE) says. Operated by Saskatchewan Mining Development Corp., the drill program intersected 24 ft grading 1.1 oz gold per ton and 13 ft assaying 0.42 oz gold. Other holes include 5 ft grading 0.54 oz and 82 ft assaying 0.34 oz gold.

The Roxy zone is a subparallel splay off the main Jasper deposit which was discovered by SMDC last year. Underground work on the Jasper deposit is on schedule. The $5.7-million program will include a decline ramp to a depth of 500 ft.

Three drifts will also be completed which will provide access to the deposit for detailed evaluation. Ground conditions are good, Golden Rule says.

Partners in the project include SMDC (36%), Golden Rule (30%), Mahogany Minerals Resources (VSE) (19%) and Shore Gold Fund (15%).
