High River fills in Berezitovoye

High River Gold Mines (HRG-T) has tabled the results of a 25-hole infill drill program at its Berezitovoye gold project in southern Siberia’s Amur region.

The holes Are designed to bring the project’s reported reserves in line with Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum standards. Roscoe Postle Associates (RPA) are currently preparing a block model estimate of the reserves and resources in anticipation of a feasibility study.

Drilling tested Berezitovoye’s three zones – North, Central and South – and returned between 2-5 grams gold and 10-20 grams silver per tonne over widths from 10-100 metres.

Highlights from the North zone include:

  • Hole 401 — 30 metres (from 104 metres below surface) running 1.9 grams gold and 17.5 grams silver per tonne;
  • Hole 406 – 15 metres (from 99 m) grading 5 grams gold and 10.5 grams silver; and
  • Hole 407 – 22 metres (from 36.9 m) 3.8 grams gold and 16 grams silver.

Selected Central zone results include:

  • Hole 412 – 113.8 metres (from 43.2 m) of 4 grams gold and 18.5 grams silver;
  • Hole 413 – 31.4 metres (from 166 m) grading 6.27 grams gold and 17 grams silver; and /li>
  • Hole 418 – 127.9 metres (from 6.7 m) of 3.5 grams gold and 15.9 grams silver.

The South zone returned up to 110 metres running 4.4 grams gold and 15.2 grams silver.

As part of their reserve audit, RPA completed check calculations of Russian reserve estimates based on historical data. The latest drill results will be incorporated into an updated mineral resource estimate (compliant with National Instrument 43-101) due out by the end of July.

Berezitovoye is home to a reported near-surface resource (under Russian standards) of 14.1 million tonnes grading 3.05 grams gold and 14.3 grams silver per tonne, plus 0.93% zinc and 0.57% lead, based on a cutoff grade of 1 gram gold per tonne.

Drilling has begun on several previously untested geochemical and electromagnetic targets elsewhere on the property.
