Hornby Bay sizes up NWT zinc discovery

Hornby Bay Exploration (HBBY-C) is set to begin preliminary exploration on a recently discovered mineralized sulphide zone in the Hornby Basin of the Northwest Territories.

The company intends to conduct geochemical and induced-polarization geophysical surveys on the zone, from which grab samples returned high zinc values, as well as silver, lead and copper. The surveys will cover an area measuring 1 by 3 km, and ongoing ground prospecting is attempting to extend the mineralization, which is described as sedimentary-exhalative in nature.
