Horsham lists shares in Europe

The controlling shareholder of gold producer American Barrick Resources (TSE) has listed its shares in Europe. Horsham (TSE), which is also the majority owner of Clark Oil & Refining Corp., recently began trading shares on the Frankfurt and Berlin stock exchanges in Germany.

Active in that country, Horsham has plans to develop a 200-hectare site south of Berlin into a state-of-the-art business park.

Meanwhile, gold producer Hemlo Gold Mines (TSE) recently became the first Canadian company to list on a U.S. exchange under new multi-jurisdictional disclosure rules adopted by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Washington, D.C. Hemlo Gold, 50.7% owned by Noranda (TSE), is listed on the American Stock Exchange.
