The controlling shareholder of gold producer American Barrick Resources (TSE) has listed its shares in Europe. Horsham (TSE), which is also the majority owner of Clark Oil & Refining Corp., recently began trading shares on the Frankfurt and Berlin stock exchanges in Germany.
Active in that country, Horsham has plans to develop a 200-hectare site south of Berlin into a state-of-the-art business park.
Meanwhile, gold producer Hemlo Gold Mines (TSE) recently became the first Canadian company to list on a U.S. exchange under new multi-jurisdictional disclosure rules adopted by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in Washington, D.C. Hemlo Gold, 50.7% owned by Noranda (TSE), is listed on the American Stock Exchange.
