Common shares of Toronto- based Horsham (TSE), the company that controls American Barrick Resources (TSE), were listed for trading recently on the New York Stock Exchange.
In addition to a 22% stake in Barrick, Horsham also has a controlling interest in Clark Oil & Refining Corp., a St. Louis-based U.S. refiner, manufacturer and gasoline retailer.
“Our shareholder base has always been international, and we believe our listing on the NYSE should facilitate the trading and availability of our shares in the global market place,” said Horsham Chairman Peter Munk.
Horsham shares were trading recently at around US$10 on the New York exchange.
