Inco team wins award

The 7-member team from Inco labs in Toronto and Copper Cliff, Ont., inadvertently discovered the process while studying ways to reduce the cost of mineral separation. Although the new separation technology was not implemented, the scientists were quick to recognize its potential for environmental protection. The process is now used by 20 gold processing and electro-plating industries.

The team members are Bruce Conard, Eric Devuyst, Victor Ettel, Marcel Mosoiu, Branka Tandi, Gyula Borbely and Konstantin Schitka.
