INSIDER TRADING — Asia Pacific executives expand shareholdings

Recent insider trading transactions reported by the Ontario Securities Commission in its OSC Bulletin, include the following:

  • Asia Pacific Resources (APQ-T) — John Darch, director, bought 38,500 shares directly at $2.70-2.78, as well as 122,200 shares at $2.35-2.95 to hold 254,492 shares directly and 5.4 million shares indirectly; Gerald Wright, director, bought 115,550 shares indirectly and privately to hold 4.79 million shares indirectly; and Crew Holdings, owner of more than 10% of the company and of which both Darch and Wright are directors, bought 100,000 shares privately at $2.95 to hold 4.24 million shares.
  • Etruscan Resources (DMM-T) — Robertson Stephens Investment, owner of more than 10% of the company, indirectly sold 69,700 shares at US86 cents-97 cents and 51,310 warrants at US1 cents to indirectly hold 5.7 million shares and 1.35 million warrants.
  • Inco (N-T) — Robertson Stephens Investment, owner of more than 10% of the company, sold 3.1 million shares indirectly at US$4.95-5.07 to hold 2.07 million shares indirectly.
  • Kookaburra Resources (KOB-T) — Nicholas Demare, director, bought 10,000 shares indirectly and privately at 40 cents and sold 11,000 shares in a similar fashion at 40 cents to hold 45,333 shares indirectly, and Xenolith Gold, owner of more than 10%, bought 350,000 shares in a private placement at 30 cents and sold 203,500 shares at 34-48 cents to hold 892,990 shares directly and 3.32 million shares indirectly.
  • Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan (POT-T) — Sidney Blair, executive of an affiliated company, was granted 1,500 options at $102.35 to hold 11,000 options; Peter Braun, officer, was granted 10,000 options at $102.35 to hold 35,000 options; Wayne Browniee, officer, was granted 25,000 options at $102.35 to hold 93,500 options; Charles Childers, director, was granted 80,000 options at US$67.88 to hold 350,000 options; William Cooper, executive of an affiliated company, was granted 7,500 options at US$67.88 to hold 22,500 options; William Doyle, director, was granted 50,000 options at US$67.88 to hold 208,500 options; Cyril Eckl, executive of an affiliated company, was granted 2,000 options at $102.35 to hold 8,000 options; John Ellis, executive of an affiliated company, was granted 6,000 options at $102.35 to hold 16,000 options; John Gugulyn, officer, was granted 25,000 options at $102.35 to hold 118,750 options; John Hampton, officer, was granted 25,000 options at $102.35 to hold 81,000 options; Betty-Ann Heggie, officer, was granted 25,000 options at $102.35 to hold 84,500 options; Dallas Howe, director, was granted 3,000 options at $102.35 to hold 13,000 options; Barry Humphreys, officer, was granted 25,000 options at $102.35 to hold 103,000 options; Richard Lacroix, officer, was granted 10,000 options at $102.35 to hold 35,000 options; Garth Moore, officer, was granted 25,000 options at $103.25 to hold 81,000 options; Michael Moosman, executive of an affiliated company, was granted 4,000 options at US$67.88 to hold 10,000 options; Donald Robers, officer, was granted 6,000 options at $102.35 to hold 25,000 options; Denis Sirois, officer, was granted 7,500 options at $102.35 to hold 29,000 options; Edward Stromberg, director, was granted 3,000 options at $102.35 to hold 15,000 options; and Rodney Wilson, executive of an affiliated company, was granted 10,000 options at US$67.88 to hold 35,000 options.
