Four senior officers of Teck (TSE) recently exercised options and acquired Teck class B shares which they then sold.
According to the Ontario Securities Commission’s OSC Bulletin, Gary Jones, senior officer, exercised options and acquired 10,000 class B shares at $17.13 and sold the shares at $27.50-$27.75 to hold no shares and 12,500 class B options. Norman Rudden, another senior officer, exercised options and acquired 7,500 class B shares at $17.13 and sold the shares at $27.50 to hold no shares. Keith Steeves, director and senior officer, exercised options and acquired 30,000 class B shares and then sold the shares at $27.50 to hold 100 shares and 50,000 class B options. George Stevens, senior officer, exercised options and acquired 14,000 shares at $17.13 and sold the same number of shares at $27.63 to hold 1,000 shares and 75,400 options.
Other transactions in May and June include the following:
* Asia Minerals (ASE) — James Owen, director, sold 10,000 shares at 54 cents and another 10,000 shares at 40 cents to hold 273,900 shares.
* Barrick Gold (TSE) — Louis Dionne, senior officer, exercised options and acquired 34,800 shares at $14.25 and sold 34,800 shares at $35.35-$35.38 to hold no shares. He was also granted 34,800 options to hold 117,800 options. Isabel Mulligan, senior officer, exercised options and acquired 40,000 shares at $14.25 and sold 40,000 shares at $35.13 to hold no shares. She was also granted 40,000 options to hold 105,000 options.
* Dakota Mining (ASE) — Stanley Dempsey, director, was granted 30,000 options at $2 to hold 50,000 options.
* Diamond Fields Resources (TSE) — Clifford Carson, director and senior officer, was granted 150,000 options at $55.24 to hold 150,000 options. John Paterson, a senior officer, was granted 50,000 options at $21.10 to hold 50,000 options.
Franco-Nevada Mining (TSE) — Alexander Hamilton, senior officer, sold 2,000 options at $70 to hold 22,000 options.
Holmer Gold (ASE) — Douglas MacKenzie, director, exercised options and acquired 30,000 shares at 40 cents and sold 30,000 shares at 92 cents-$1.08 to hold 2,000 shares. In addition, MacKenzie was granted 30,000 options at 30 cents to hold 20,000 options.
Loki Gold (TSE) — Ronald Netolitzky, a director who owns more than 10% of the company, sold 53,100 shares at $1.83-$1.86 to hold 2.8 million shares.
Stroud Resources (TSE) — George Coburn, senior officer and director, exercised options and acquired 49,600 shares and sold 52,500 shares at 24 cents-26 cents to hold 505,344 shares.
