International Curator readies drills at Assean Lake

International Curator Resources (IC-T) is gearing up for a winter exploration program on its 60% owned Assean Lake gold project in north-central Manitoba.

The company plans a program of geophysics followed by up to 4,500 metres of diamond drilling. The program is budgeted at $580,000.

Electromagnetic (EM) surveying will focus on depth extensions of the BIF zone and an anomalous nickel zone near the B-52 zone. The company will also follow up with groundwork over an airborne anomaly on strike with the Lindal vein.

Curator plans to begin drilling in early February to test new geophysical and geochemical targets outline last summer on strike with the Hunt, B-52 and BIF zones. Several other targets were identified on the north shore of Assean Lake near the Lindal vein.

Pending positive results form the EM survey, Curator plans to sink some deep holes on the BIF, B-52 and the nickel zone.

To date, International Curator has found six gold zones at Assean Lake, including the Hunt, BIF and B-52 zones.

The Hunt zone has been tested by a total of 26 diamond drill holes to a depth of 350 meters. It has been traced for 600 meters on strike, including a 100-meter long high-grade shoot with intervals up to 9.37 grams gold per tonne over 8.15 metres.

About 1 km to the east, the BIF has been tested 2 diamond drill holes, with the best intersection running 4.26 grams gold over 1.75 metres.

The B-52 zone lies another 2 km along strike and to the east of B-52. Six holes have tested the zone to a depth of 100 metres, and returned up to 10.2 grams over 4 metres.

Curator earned its 60% stake in the Hunt claims by spending $1.25 million. Rare Earth Metals (REM-V) holds the remaining 40% stake.
