Jonpol Explorations (TSE) and affiliate T&H Resources (TSE) have signed an option to acquire 25 mining claims adjacent to their gold property in Garrison Twp, Ont. The new claims, which lie to the west of the joint venture’s main gold zone, will be the site of a 5-hole drilling program scheduled for early January.
The exploration program, financed by a $150,000 private placement with Aur Resources (TSE) President Jim Gill, will probe the western plunge of the main J.D. zone at depths of about 1,000 ft., said Jonpol president John Pollock. Jonpol and Aur are partners at the Jonpol-Amos base metal property in Dalquier Twp., Que.
Pollock said two IP anomalies on the new claim block also warrant further investigation.
Jonpol, which is still trying to find a major partner for the Garrison project, has outlined a preliminary reserve of 513,800 tons grading 0.28 oz. gold per ton at a cut off grade of 0.15 oz. gold.
Including the recently-acquired claims, Jonpol and T&H have tied up three continuous miles along the Porcupine-Destor fault structure.
