Newly listed Cetacean Industries (CTAE-O) and wholly owned subsidiary Juina Mining now hold the mineral rights to two diamond properties in Brazil’s Mato Grosso state.
The 912 and 1000 properties comprise a total of 4,600 acres in the Aripuana-Juina kimberlite province, the largest diamond-producing region in the country. The 912, an alluvial property, runs along the bank of Cinta Larga River for 10 km. The 1000 property, 20 km to the southwest of 912, hosts what could be a kimberlite pipe in the southeastern corner.
Juina plans to evaluate the alluvial potential of the two properties and will explore for primary diamond sources.
The properties were explored by De Beers Consolidated Mines in 1978 and Rio Tinto in the 1980s.
