Junior partners to resume diamond search in Ontario

Drilling will resume on the diamond property in New Liskeard, Ont., belonging to Vancouver-listed partners Consolidated Pine Channel Gold and JNR Resources.

Much of the property, which contains the OPAP kimberlite pipe, was too wet for drilling during the summer 1995 program. As soon as weather permits, drilling will begin on 19 targets.

The partners have also sent their initial 200-kg sample of core from the OPAP, C-31 and BFK #1 pipes to the De Beers laboratory in South Africa for evaluation. Results are expected shortly.
