RJK Explorations (RJX.A-V) and GLR Resources (GRS-T) have intersected base metal sulphide mineralization in two holes on their Stares property, about 50 km west of Thunder Bay, Ont.
The two holes tested a mineralized horizon at relatively shallow depths below a surface showing discovered earlier this year. Two earlier drill holes had also intersected base metal mineralization on the down-dip extension of the showing.
In the most recent results, hole MSD01-04 intersected 3 metres grading 4.91% zinc, 0.64% lead, 0.11% copper, 98 grams silver and 1 gram gold per tonne, at about 15 metres vertical depth. The grades were similar to the results from two holes the partners reported in July.
A second “step-back” hole, MSD01-05, cut a 2.6-metre length grading 11.8% zinc, 0.05% lead, 0.03% copper, 109 grams silver and 3.2 grams gold per tonne, at about 30 metres vertical depth.
GLR, the reorganized Greater Lenora Resources, and RJK, are operating the property as an equal joint venture.
