The company used a reverse-circulation rig to sample a couple of poorly defined kimberlite mineral anomalies on the property, situated in the Otish Mountains.
Almost 400 basal till samples were collected from 52 holes in an effort to define a large indicator mineral anomaly that is said to be distinct from the train emanating from the Renard kimberlite discoveries. The Renard cluster sits directly up-ice of the Portage property.
In the meantime, drilling of the Wellington project at Victoria Island in Nunavut has also ended unsuccessfully. Majescor and its joint-venture partner,
