Komis mine pours first yellow metal

The Komis mine of Golden Rule Resources (GNU-T) has celebrated its first gold pour.

Situated in Saskatchewan’s Waddy Lake region, the mine is processing 378 tons per day of low-grade development ore.

Six shrinkage stopes are being developed that will allow the company to increase the daily milling rate to 440 tons.

Commercial production is expected to be achieved by year-end.

At the end of 1995, minable and possible reserves stood at 1.4 million tons grading 0.34 oz. per ton.
