A high sensitivity magnetometer survey has been completed by Kowkash Gold on its 38-claim O’Sullivan Lake gold property north of Geraldton, Ont. The survey confirmed the existence of significant structures as indicated in previous drilling, reports vice-president J. B. Prendergast.
These structures are in the immediate vicinity of the numerous economically important gold assays resulting from previous work, Mr Prendergast reports. He refers to a report of November, 1986, (on the drilling of seven holes that year) which tells of previous drilling intersecting gold values in five of 21 holes, with one hole yielding 7.99 oz per ton across 0.3 ft and a 20-ft sludge sample in the last of these holes assaying 0.71 oz.
The company has arranged financing for a diamond drill program which is expected to be under way in July.
The O’Sullivan Lake bet, which adjoins the property of Consolidated Louanna Gold Mines, was drilled in 1959 and 1983 under the direction of President Don Sutherland, Mr Prendergast reports.
