LABRADOR NEWS ROUNDUP — Greenshield eyes Alexis River area

A land package of 1,500 claims, covering 360 sq. km, has been acquired by Greenshield Resources (CDN) in the Alexis River area in southeastern Labrador.

The company plans to start airborne magnetic and electromagnetic surveys as soon as equipment is available. Exploration performed in the 1950s led to the discovery of sulphide showings with copper, nickel and cobalt values, in a gabbro phase of the Alexis River anorthosite intrusion.
