The “Investment in Mining” conference last spring in New York City was so successful that a follow-up has been scheduled.
The convention, to be held Sept. 17 and 18 in Las Vegas, Nev., will focus on gold and diamonds. A pre-convention workshop is planned for Sept. 16. Representatives of emerging and senior companies will be interested in talks by Paul Kavanaugh, senior vice-president of exploration for American Barrick; Robert Buchan, president of Kinross Gold; James Gill, president of Aur Resources; and several others.
Speakers geared toward investors include: Warren Myers, vice-president and equity specialist for Merrill Lynch Capital; Philip Martin, partner and mining analyst with Gordon Capital, Ian McAvity, editor of Deliberations; Ian Lamont, an economist with Yorkton Securities; and Robert Bishop, editor and publisher of Gold Mining Stock Report.
