Consulting firm Watts, Griffis & McOuat is poring over exploration and reserve figures for the Galena Hill silver-lead mine in the Yukon in preparation for underground drilling, to begin in May.
Owner United Keno Hill Mines (TSE) will present new mining plans after the drilling.
In other news, United Keno has improved its balance sheet by incorporating a wholly owned subsidiary and completing a private placement with the Banister group.
These developments have altered certain projections made in a preliminary prospectus, filed last August, for a public offering of shares. The prospectus has been withdrawn and the company will not proceed with the issue.
