LATIN AMERICA — NEWS ROUNDUP — Golden Peaks enters phase two

Operator Golden Peaks Resources (GL-V) has launched a US$900,000 exploration program on the Sierra de Las Minas and Los Dos Buhos gold-silver properties in northwestern Argentina.

Previous drilling by Golden Peaks along the Vallecito structure encountered up to 38.41 grams gold and 239.56 grams silver per tonne over a 3-metre interval.

The second-phase program is designed to upgrade previously identified zones to the drill stage, including School, Los Dos Buhos, Los Primos, Cerco Quemado, and Skull.

Japanese-based Mistsubishi and Mitsubishi Materials are earning a 30% interest in the projects from equal partners Golden Peaks and Primo Resources (PRI-V) by spending US$1.5 million on exploration.
