LATIN AMERICA — Savanna Resources acquires gold claims in eastern Suriname

Trenching and drilling by Savanna Resources (SV-A) are scheduled to start this month at newly acquired claims in eastern Suriname.

The company recently acquired exploration rights covering 130,000 ha in three blocks, the largest of which adjoins a property being explored by Canarc Resource. The land package includes several gold showings and is within the main greenstone belt of eastern Suriname.

Savanna says its work program will start once the rainy season ends. The current program is budgeted at US$400,000.
