LATIN AMERICA SPECIAL — Mincom opens Santiago offices

Australian computer software company Mincom International recently opened offices in Santiago, Chile, a move the company says reflects the growth of mining-related business in that country.

Mincom says one of its packages, an integrated set of software programs used to streamline operations and maintenance, has been bought by Compania Minera Disputada de Las Condes to help run the expanded Los Bronces copper mine.
