Laverty to test gold zone near Red Lake

Results from a recently completed humus sampling program on a claim group near Red Lake, Ont., have revealed strongly anomalous gold values, says property owner Laverty Red Lake Resources (COATS). The gold occurrence, which the company has dubbed the North zone, appears to coincide with a series of parallel shear zones traversing a large east-northeast trending regional fault.

According to President Thomas Gillett, geological and geophysical evidence strongly suggests a geological model with similarities to the Red Lake Gold Shore mine, 3000 ft. to the east of the property.

A program of stripping and drilling has been recommended for the anomalous area.
