As part of a feasibility study of the Goldfields project in northern Saskatchewan, Greater Lenora Resources (TSE) will carry out three drill programs concurrently.
A 16,400-ft. infill program is already under way on the Althona deposit, which hosts 2 million tons averaging 0.066 oz. gold per ton. The program is expected to upgrade 2 to 3 million tons of drill-indicated ore to the proven and probable category, as well as add 250,000 oz. to the property’s reserves. Exploration and geotechnical drilling will also be carried out. Greater Lenora is using a second drill to test the West Granite zone, where four holes intersected values ranging from 0.034 oz. over 72 ft. to 0.113 oz. over 14 ft. Geotechnical drilling will assess permeabilities and pit slope stabilities.
The Goldfields property currently hosts 29.9 million tons averaging 0.054 oz. The new study is due this summer.
