Metallurgical tests on the Box and Athona deposits in northern Saskatchewan indicate a gold recovery of 92%, based on a head grade of 0.054 oz. gold per ton.
The two deposits, which constitute the Goldfields project of Greater Lenora Resources (TSE), host total proven and probable minable reserves of about 5 million tons containing 850,000 oz. gold. A final feasibility study is expected later this month.
Lenora reports that material from the two deposits is relatively easy to drill and blast and that the stripping ratio is expected to be less than 2.5-to-1.
Gold will be processed in a semi-autogenous grinding circuit, and recoveries are expected to average 92%.
