Letters to the Editor `Greenpeach supports uranium industry’

In reference to the article on the uranium market study commissioned by Greenpeace (April 2/90), I find it shocking that Greenpeace is actually promoting the world nuclear industry by lobbying for a balanced uranium market. Your headline for the article should have read: “Greenpeace supports uranium industry.” Considering that Greenpeace wants to stop all uranium mining, they should be promoting the expansion of the Canadian and Australian uranium mining industry in order to destabilize the world uranium market balance and thereby, according to their study, destroy the economics of the world’s existing uranium mines. Wouldn’t that be clever? Gregory MacDonald Hunter Resources
