LITERATURE REVIEW — NEWS ROUNDUP — Mount Pleasant to slim down

Adex Mining (AMG-T) has announced it has trimmed the budget for its Mount Pleasant polymetallic mine in New Brunswick by more than $30 million.

A draft feasibility study released in March 1997 estimated the cost of the operation at $102 million, but the company has made adjustments that could reduce costs to $70 million. Changes include the reduction of the plant capacity to 2,000 from 2,500 tons per day and the evaluation of alternatives to its hydrometallurgical recovery process.
